    About four miles northwest of Walnut Springs on the Ray Hickock place, now (2007) owned by Louis Beecherl. It was never a part of Flat Top Ranch. Unfenced, on a grassy knoll, are four rock marked graves and more recent gray granite flat stone saying CULPEPPER. Need a guide. Only one stone has lettering:
    LAMBERT, MATTIE, Died April 3, 1901
    Five more lines of lettering unreadable
    The other graves are this woman's parents, The Culpeppers, and Mattie Lambert's Baby (Mattie Lambert left a three year old daughter, Lillie, who was reared by Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Goains, no relation. Lillie married J.O. Blue.).

I had visited in the grandparent's home , home of Henry Lee Hudson Sr. and Ruby Culpepper Hudson on N. 11th St., Waco, Texas in 1965. I do have knowledge that Peggy Sue Hudson married Michael Rivers , of Latimer Misssissippi and they had two children, a son David and a daughter Tami and one grandson Brandon Rivers. Peggy Sue, her sister Lynda and brother David, along with parents are deceased as of my last knowledge in 2010. Her younger sister Nancy Lou married last name Taylor and has children resides in Waco."3

VALDOSTA - Ivey S. Culpepper, 86, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born on Dec. 21, 1917, in Echols County, he was the son of the late Jesse E. and Beulah Mae Peterson Culpepper. He farmed with his family in Echols County before going to work at Owens-Illinois Paper Mill where he worked for 28 years. He served his church, Forrest Street Church of God, for many years in many different functions and particularly enjoyed his time directing the choir. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
     Mr. Culpepper is survived by his wife of 22 years, Thelma Z. Culpepper of Valdosta; sons and daughters-in-law, Herman and Carol Culpepper of Montgomery, Ala., Rudolph and Linda Culpepper of Augusta, Ga; Danny and Jo Culpepper of Valdosta; four grandchildren, Tammy and Scott Sherrod of Valdosta, Kevin and Cami Culpepper of Montgomery, Phillip and Amy Culpepper of Vidalia, Tony and Shirley Culpepper of Tampa, Fla; step-grandchildren, Jeff Vernon, Randall and Jackie Vernon, all of Augusta; a brother, Jesse Efford Culpepper of Valdosta; and eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at the Forrest Street Church of God with the Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on today from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Obituary*5 February 1969 Mrs. Wylene HOLLAENDER, 75, of 1314 16th St., died this morning at The Medical Center after a brief illness.
     Born Nov. 22, 1893, in Columbus, she had lived here most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Jesse and Ella Mae CLEGHORN CULPEPPER.
     A member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church, seh also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
     Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Ophelia WADE and Mrs. Mary BATASTINI, both of Columbus, and Mrs. Eva TUCKER of Portland, Ore., and a brother, Wallace CULPEPPER of Columbus....Funeral services for Mrs. Wylene C. HOLLAENDER of 1345 16th St. will be held Thursday 2 p.m. at the gravside in Riverdale Cemetery with Dr. J. D. HILLMAN officiating. Survivors include...several nieces and nephews.
     STRIFFLER-HAMBY.2 
Burial*7 February 1969 Her body was interred on 7 February 1969 at Riverdale Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee Co., Georgia.2
