Obituary*19 October 2010 Robert Franklin Culpepper, Sr., age 91 of Pleasant Hill passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, October 16, 2010 surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 officiated by Rev. Stan Weatherford, Dr. David Thomas and Woods Culpepper, Jr. Services directed by Lawrence Funeral Home.
     Mr. Culpepper was born April 10, 1919 in Newton, Mississippi. He enlisted in the Army in 1941 and discharged in 1944. After returning to Pleasant Hill he became a longtime farmer and logger.
     He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Tate Culpepper, parents Eugene and Ella Culpepper, siblings; Myrtle Ruth Culpepper Dees, Willie Eugene Culpepper Jones, Juanita Merle Culpepper Jernigan, Annie Lou Culpepper Griffin, Marvin Woods Culpepper and Eugene Barksdale Culpepper Jr.
     Mr. Culpepper is survived by his two children Robert (Melanie) Franklin Culpepper Jr. of Pleasant Hill and Ceceilia (Frank) Culpepper Smith of Pleasant Hill. Four grandchildren; Steven (Julie) Franklin Smith of Roswell, GA, Jennifer (Robert) Culpepper Robertson of Homewood, AL , Amy (Brandon) Smith Pearson of Perdido Beach, AL and Robert (Elizabeth) Franklin Culpepper III of Pleasant Hill. Four great-grandchildren Tate McQueen Robertson, Gabriel Ryan Smith, Graham Franklin Smith and Mary Carter Robertson. One sister Laura Hortense Culpepper Zigerelli of Cleveland, Ohio.

Mrs. Culpepper Dies In Ebenezer
Mrs. Gus H. Culpepper, 66 died at her home in the Ebenezer community last night. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William Jonah Keith, Union Springs: Mrs. W. F. Joiner, Troy: Mrs. J. C. Haisten, Troy: one son, Robert L. Culpepper, Troy: 10 grandchildren: five great-grandchildren: two sisters, Mrs. A. J. Dozier, Union Springs: Mrs. G. F. Williamson, Troy: one brother, W. A. Hickman, Phenix City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 pm from Sandfield Church with Elder J. W. McLeod officiating. Burial in the church cemetery with McGehee Funeral Home directing. Active pallbearers will be Walter Morgan, Cody Dunn, DeLeon Barr, Alto Dawkins, George Green and Max Price.

Services for Louise Culpepper Haisten, 92, of Troy who died Friday January 24, 2003 at Edge Regional Medical Center was at 2 p.m Saturday January 25, 2003 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Paul Kendrick officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation was from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday January 25, 2003 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Haisten was born February 10, 1910 the daughter of Gus and Glovenia Culpepper. She was a graduate of Troy State University and taught school in Pike County for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Haisten and her son, Thomas Jerry Haisten. Survivors include a son and his wife, John Larry and Nancy Haisten of Birmingham; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Duncan, Hal Haisten, Tommy Haisten, Willie Powell, Paul Rose and Mark Watkins. The family request memorials be made to your favorite charity.1

Biography* Obituary:
William Monroe Culpepper, age 68 of Linwood Rt. 1 died suddenly Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were held today at 3 o'clock at Sandfield Church, with the Rev. W. S. Dunford officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. McGehee Funeral Home in charge. Surviving are three sons, Otha Culpepper Rt. 1, Linwood, Lester Culpepper of Union Springs and Quinton Culpepper of Phenix City. Two daughters, Mrs. Herman Dease Rt. 5, Troy, Mrs. Clayton Nolin Eufaula. One sister Mrs. Mattie Lee Columbus, Ga; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.8
