Biography* The following obituary is from an unknown source: Mrs. Minnie Blackstock, 91 Mrs. Minnie Blackstock, 91, a resident of Langdale, Al. passed away on Saturday, June 20 in a Langdale Nursing home following a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 21 at 3:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Brock Funeral Home with the [Rev?] Jack Drinkwater officiating. Burial followed in the Ashland City Cemetery with Brock Funeral Home Directing. Survivors include one son, Mr. James L. Blackstock of Riverview. Two sisters, Mrs. J.R. Carwile of Alexander City and Mrs. W.L. Powell of Dadeville, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Blackstock was a native of Clay County but had lived in Langdale for the past 40 years. She is a housewife and member of the First Baptist Church of Ashland.
Brock Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers for Mrs. Blackstock were: Nathan Blackstock, James Johnson, Dean Blackstock, Tim Henderson. Jesse Grogan and Curtis Welch.

Jordan of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Estelle Nichols and Mrs. Ruth Gaither both of Ashland; one brother, Julian Stephens of Selma; and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Jordan, wife of the late Zebus Pereano Jordan was a native and longtime resident of Clay County. She was retired from Southland Mfg. co. and a member of Lystra Baptist Church. Active pallbearers were her three sons, a grandson, Dylan Jordan, son-in-law Enoch May, and Lynn Gaither. Funeral arrangements by Brock Funeral Home.
