Biography* Benjamin was 6' 4" tall, his second wife, Susan Duke, was quite short., according to Thomas Knight. Thomas also states that Ben and Susan died within days of each other, and had a common obituary. It stated that the surviving children were W.M East, H.W. East, M.H. East, Mrs. Ray all of Phenix City. Mrs. Sharp was of Roanoke Alabama. Texas relatives were not mentioned.
