| Obituary* | say 27 July 2011 | Larry Perry, 67 of Amarillo died Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Celebration of life memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Larry was born October 2, 1943 in Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1962 and attended Amarillo College. He was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church. After returning from San Francisco in the late '70s, he opened his business and became an expert in antique and furniture restoration. Larry's Firehouse shop was a favorite meeting place for his many friends and family. He was passionate about his work and his customers. He loved seeing their faces when he turned a dilapidated family heirlooms into a masterpiece's. Larry was a wonderful listener and always had the time for anyone. He loved his family, his friends and his pets. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Velma Perry; and a brother, Jerry. Survivors include his wife, Bette; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Linda Raines of Denton; a brother, Rick Perry of Bryan; three nieces; and a nephew.3 |
