After the war in 1919, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, and by Aug 1937 had become a Major. He continued in this capacity through Dec 1940 and apparently stayed on to serve in WW-II. Obituary*11 April 2007 DOYLESTOWN -- William R. Culpepper, born in Napa, Calif., on Oct. 4, 1927, passed away at Doylestown Health Care Center on Monday, April 9, 2007. He was a self-employed truck driver and a CB radio repairman, known as the "Radio Doctor." He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by son, Jay (Glenna) Culpepper of Doylestown; daughters, Mira (John) Tibbetts of Nevada, Shayla Culpepper of Washington, Sharon (Dave) Norman of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Thanks to all the wonderful staff of Doylestown Health Care Center. There will be a graveside service Thursday at 11 a.m. at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Doylestown with David Whitman officiating. Memorials may be made to Doylestown Health Care Activities Fund, 95 Black Drive, Doylestown 44230. Arrangements are being handled by Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown. Burial*12 April 2007 His body was interred on 12 April 2007 at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Doylestown, Wayne Co., Ohio.1
