Obituary*6 January 2016 Donna Turner, 66, of Plano, Texas died on Sunday, January 3, 2016 after a long and arduous fight with dementia. She died peacefully in her bed with her children by her side. Donna was born on October 16, 1949. Known to her family as "Bunny," she was raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Donna was a selfless single mother and a strong woman who gave everything she had to those around her. She had an incredibly generous spirit not only to her children, but to anyone she could help. She was a regular donor at the blood bank for many years, and frequently gave to many charities, including the Salvation Army. Donna is survived by her brother Bobby (Lillian) Culpepper of Mobile, Alabama, sister Judy (Chuck) Turner of Northport, Alabama, daughter Michelle Turner of The Colony, Texas, daughter Christi (Martin) Chadwick of Chicago, Illinois, son Jeff (Faith) Turner of Frisco, Texas, son Michael (Caroline) Turner of San Diego, California, and two granddaughters, Katy and Abby Turner, of Frisco, Texas. A funeral will be held on Friday, January 8 at 11:00 A.M. at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel in Birmingham, Alabama, with a viewing at 10:00 A.M. Donna will be laid to rest next to her mother, Ruby Culpepper in Elmwood Cemetery.1
