However Sandra's married name was given as "Rivers" in her obituary which appeared on p. 2A of the Weekly Moultrie Observer Wednesday, 22 Jul 1987: Sandra McCranie Rivers Sandra McCranie Rivers, 38, of Clewiston, Fla., died July 14 following a lengthy illness. Funeral services and burial were held Friday in Clewiston. A homemaker, Mrs. Rivers was born in Colquitt County on Jan. 6, 1949, daughter of the late Marion McCranie and Lorraine McCranie. A former resident of Berlin, Mrs. Rivers had lived in Clewiston for the past 25 years. Survivors include her husband, James Rivers of Clewiston; two sons, Jamie Rivers and Sonny Rivers, both of Clewiston; a daughter, Angel Rivers of Clewiston; five brothers, Charles McCranie, Frank McCranie, Buddy McCranie, all of Tallahassee, Fla., Bill McCranie of Meigs and Raymond McCranie of Cairo; four sisters, Faye Whisnant of Lawrenceville, June Green of New Orleans, La., Joyce Salter of Norman Park and Doris Scarbough of Tallahassee; and one grandchild.
