Virginia Culpepper1
F, (circa 1911 - )
Name Variation | | She was also known as Virgie.2 |
Birth* | circa 1911 | Virginia was born at Mississippi circa 1911. The 1920 census shows sisters, Mamie as age 17 and Virginia as age 19. However, the 1910 census shows that their parents had just married and no children were shown in the household. Then in 1930, Viriginia was shown as recently married and living with her 21 year-old husband and her mother, Maggie. Thus, we have assumed that the ages of Mamie and Virginia were mis-stated in the 1920 census by about ten years, each.3,1,2 |
(Daughter) 1920 Census | 1 January 1920 | Mamie and Virginia was listed as a daughter in William Dennis Culpepper's household on the 1920 Census at Richmond, Covington Co., Mississippi.1 |
Married Name | circa 1928 | As of circa 1928, her married name was Locke.2 |
Marriage* | circa 1928 | She married H. Gressett Locke circa 1928.2 |
(Wife) 1930 Census | 1 April 1930 | Virginia was listed as H. Gressett Locke's wife on the 1930 Census at Richmond, Covington Co., Mississippi.2 |
