Biography* | Obituary: WARNER ROBINS - Bessie Calhoun Culpepper died Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 17 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Houston County, 1066 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, GA 31088. Mrs. Culpepper was born in Crisp County, Georgia. She was retired from Meadowdale Learning Center. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Culpepper, daughter and son-in-law, Edwina and George Thomas, and parents, P.M. "Jake" Calhoun and Penny Mae Hobbs Calhoun. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Ted Hartsoe, Sr., Warner Robins; granddaughters, Donna Austin and Kathy Earn, Warner Robins; grandsons, Ted Hartsoe, Jr., Fort Walton Beach, FL; David Thomas, Warner Robins; Franklin Thomas, Crawford County, GA; brother, J.D. Calhoun, Fitzgerald; sister, Geneva Griffin, Jacksonville, FL; nine great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, and several loving nieces and nephews. McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.2 |
