Research note* | | I am trying to find birth, death, & Marriage proof on John Dobson b 1761 in Abingdon Parish [Gloucester Co., VA] and his 2nd wife, Susan Chandler. He first married Suzanne Stokes nee Shackelford, had son John Jr who died in war of 1812. Then, c 1824 married Susan E. Chandler b c 1800 in Norfolk VA. They had 4 children (per copy of his will): Rebecca, Martha Ann, Joseph Henry (the youngest), and my descendent Mary Frances. Mary Frances 1st married Henry Simcoe and 2nd married Zachariah Owens Culpepper. If anyone has any of this info or knows where I can locate it, I'd be grateful.
