1870 Census*1 June 1870 He was enumerated in the US Census of 1870 at Newton Co., Georgia.3 
Death*10 January 1907 He died at Clay Co., Alabama, on 10 January 1907 at age 74. 
Burial* His body was interred at Lystra Baptist Cemetery, Ashland, Clay Co., Alabama. 
Biography* The family of William E. Reagan and Helen G. Laird (maiden Lester) was full of girls with only one surviving son (James M. Reagan). The family moved from Newton County (later Rockdale County, Georgia) sometime after 1880 and settled in Ashland because there was some family there (I don't know who exactly). Other names associated with this family are your Deans, Ogletree, and Gillum. William served with Company F of the 42nd Georgia Infantry (the Newton County Rifles).2
