     Mr. Guy W. Bigham Jr., 71, of Mt. Juliet, died May 19, 1999 in Murfreesboro at Alvin C York Medical Center after a long battle against cancer. The funeral is 1 pm Saturday, may 22, 1999 at Harpeth Hills Chapel in Nashville, with Lt. Edward Lee officiating. Burial follows in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation is Friday May 21, from 4-8 pm and Saturday from 11 am till time of services.
     Mr. Bingham was preceded in death by his father, Guy W. Bigham Sr. and his mother, Josie Culpepper Bigham. He was a long time resident of Middle TN and was retired from construction management. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WW-II and the Korean Conflict.
     Mr. Bigham is survived by his wife, Betty Brown Bigham of Nashville; three daughters, Paula Bigham Huskins and Jeanina McAnn, both of Nashville and Marcia Kasson of Buda TX; two sons, Stephen Mark Bigham of Nashville and James lance McAnn of Murfreesboro; a sister, Nancy Callahan of Muncie, IN; a brother, Brady Porter of Shreveport, LA; his step-mother, Mrs. Lillian Bigham of White Oak, TX and nine granddaughters and three grandsons.2

Biography* In 1880, John was listed with son Nick Drake in Lauderdale Co., Mississippi. John C. Drake was also listed in muster roll of Donaldson's Mounted Co., Alabama Militia, June 25, 1836 to Sept. 3, 1836 - Creek War. John C. and Catherine Smith Drake had 10 children. John C. Drake's parents were Ephraim Drake b. 1789 d. between 1850-60. I think John's mother's name was Abigail - but that is all I have on her. In 1840 Ephraim is in Cherokee Co., AL (next to John C. Drake). Ephraim was on the 1814 and 1819 tax list for Washington Co., TN and the 1830 census has him in Washington Co., TN. Ephraim's father was also named Ephraim and he was b. abt 1760 in Virginia and d. 1816 in TN. He married Ann Buchanan. I'm not sure of my info. back beyond Ephraim and Ann.
