WilliamKKing and his wife, Nancy Hough King had at least one child: Mary Alice King, born on October 9, 1923 in Crenshaw County, Alabama. Mary Alice married Joseph Excell Sandley, son of William Albert Sandley and Sadie Bray Williams, both of Covington County, Alabama. She later married Joseph Stokes, remaining his wife until she died on June 16, 1982 in Elba, Coffee County, Alabama. She is also buried in New Providence Cemetery, Glenwood, Crenshaw County, Alabama. Mary Alice and Joseph Excell Sandley had two sons Joseph E. Sandley & William Donald Sandley Sr.
William Donald Sandley Sr was born on October 7, 1944 in Andalusia, Covington County, Alabama and died on January 21, 1995 in Mason, Ingham County, Michigan. He married Mary Evi Corley, daughter of Howard Rodgers Corley and Mary Magdalene McGuinty. They married in 1965 in Montgomery, Mongtomery County, Alabama. They had two children from that union: my eldest brother William Donald Sandley, Jr and myself April Dawn Sandley.²

Property consisted of 2 slaves: Elizabeth, age 16, valued at $1400, and Ellen, age 24, valued at $1100.²
