     SFC Culpepper was born December 8, 1921 in Cusseta, GA, son of the late Otis and Odessa Culpepper. He retired as a grocery department manager for Civil Service at Fort Benning, GA. SFC Culpepper served in the United States Army for 20 years having served in bothWWIIand theKorean War.
     Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Joan Culpepper and son, David Culpepper.
     Survivors include his daughter, Joyce Brown (David) of West Point, GA; son, Dennis Culpepper (Tammy) of Ooltewah, TN; three grandchildren, Amy Roberts (Clarke), Matt Brown (Jennie), and Melissa Culpepper; six great-grandchildren, Zack Meadow, Tyler Unrein, Colton Roberts, Damien Culpepper, Carter Roberts, and Carson Roberts.
