Mr. Culpepper worked for 30 years as a Lab Technician at Savannah River Site. He was born in Bishop, GA and lived in Augusta, GA for 70 years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and collected autographs for over fifty years. He enjoyed going to auctions and was an avid news junkie. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois E. Culpepper; one son, Michael L. Culpepper of Augusta; two daughters, Myrna E. Culpepper of Augusta, and Renea Soos (Anthony) of Grovetown, GA; one grandson, Jonathan Soos (Leah) and one great granddaughter, Raya Soos, all of Sacramento, CA; one brother, Charles Culpepper, of Evans, GA; one sister, Barbara Boynton of Augusta, GA; several brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis E. Culpepper, Sr and mother Tula Tate, both of Augusta. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, with burial in Park Hill Cemetery, 3 p.m., Columbus. Rev. Gene Crowder will officiate.
