1930 Census*1 April 1930 He was enumerated in the US Census of 1930 at Erath Co., Texas.1 
Death*3 March 1960 He died on 3 March 1960 at age 84.2 
Biography* Earl Stigler wrote on 20 Jan 2006:
     This info was passed by my Uncle Lyle to my Dad in 1974. I found this last year when I was cleaning out my Mom's house... (The names of the children of James and Pearl Stigler, along with the names of their spouses, and their dates of birth marriage and death were included here. This information is not shown here but has been included in the separate records for each child.)
     All of the children of James and Pearl are deceased.
     I assume they were born in one of three places, Chalk Mountain, Morgan Mill, or Stephenville, TX. All of these towns are within a 60 mile radius. The first three children were born in Chalk Mountain, which is nothing more than a post office and a gas station, now.
     They lived in Morgan Mill for a while with a brother (maybe two) of James Earl. They owned the first limestone building (it's still standing) downtown.
     Then James Earl and Pearl moved to Stephenville for the rest of their lives.
     Now Pearl, Rilla's other daughter, the half sister to Marcy, still lives in Stephenville. She was a nurse at the hospital (there's only about 25,000 people in town). Now she was married three times, to Hilburn first, then Nelson, then Wadsworth, so I don't know what last name she uses. I assume Wadsworth.
     One last note, there was a book published called "Hooray for Morgan Mill" that listed everybody that was born there, or lived there. I believe the author's last name was Williams. I ran into him at Aunt Rilla's funeral, in Morgan Mill, and bought his book. He said we were related thru cousins or something. I have move three times since then and haven't found the book since the last move.2
