| Biography* | From Bill Draper: Jonathan left Va., probably Halifax County, around 1800, and settled in Jackson County, Ga. These families, as well as most who married into the early Georgia Martins were strict Baptists. Jonathan Edward, a farmer, was born circa 1769, and Ann was born circa 1779, based on census and tax records. When Hall County was created out of Jackson County, Jonathan's residence changed to Hall around 1820. Jonathan died circa 1853, at around 73, in Lula, Hall Co., Ga., but Ann's death is unknown.
