Ider Catherine Liles Emory, age 85, a resident of Oliver Springs, TN passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

She was born December 26, 1924 in DeKalb County, Alabama, moving to Tennessee in 1943.

She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 211.

Mrs. Emory owned & operated Kathy's Restaurant in Oak Ridge, TN for 15 years.

Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Ada Sizemore Culpepper; by her first husband, Hessie Lee Liles of Alabama, by her second husband, Harold Emory of Coalfield, TN, by sisters, Marie Commanlander, Ilav Blackwell; and by brothers, Junior and Denver Culpepper.

Catherine is survived by daughters; Linda Adkins and her husband, George of Oliver Springs and Avis Jean Sibert of Powell, TN, by a son, Jimmie Frank Liles of Grove Oak, AL, by grandchildren; Ronnie, David and Randy Adkins, Terry Sibert, Sheila Sibert Justice, and Jamie Liles, by 10 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 28, 2010 between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Spring with the funeral service following at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with pastor Matt Reed officiating.

Additionally the family will receive friends at the Rainsville Funeral Home in Rainsville, Alabama on Sunday August 29, 2010 between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm with burial and graveside following at 2:00 pm at the Green Chapel Cemetery in Grove Oaks, AL. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. An online Guest book is available at www.sharpfh.com.¹
