Survivors include a son, Clay Culpepper, Statesboro, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and James Gibbs, Martinez; his parents, Leslie and Helen Culpepper, North Augusta; a sister, Laura L. Griffin, North Augusta; four grandchildren, Caleb Herndon, Sarah Reese, Joshua Gibbs and Connor Gibbs; his fiance, Martha Graham. Reaves Culpepper; father, Herman Culpepper Sr; brother, Herman Culpepper Jr; (1) sister, Reginal Robinson and a step-son, Tommie Rambo Jr. Sherman leaves to cherish; his wife, Anita Culpepper; sister & brother- in-law, Pearl (Judah) Johnson; (2) sisters-in-law, Cheryl Ashe and Mary (Virgil) Hartcourt of South Carolina, and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M., SATURDAY, May 17, 2014 at IN HIS PRESENCE, 3308 Old Troy Pk., with Pastors Ronald and Michelle Ditto, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave.

Survivors include three sons, John Edward Bourne III of Hattiesburg; and Ricky Bourne and Jack Bourne, both of Columbia; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.3 
Burial*31 December 2006 Her body was interred on 31 December 2006 at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Columbia, Marion Co., Mississippi.3
