Obituary*30 August 2009 Edward E. Culpepper, 66, passed away Friday, August 28, 2009, at his home in Brandon. Visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2009, from 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2009, at the funeral home with interment to follow in the Hebron Cemetery in Brandon.
     Mr. Culpepper was born in Scott County and has been a resident of Rankin County for the past 33 years. He was a member of the Brandon Baptist Church, a member of the Central MS Horse Riding Club in Forest, a member of the local 480 IBEW and was also a mason.
     Mr. Culpepper was a Vietnam Army Veteran and was preceded in death by his parents, Odis and Mary Catherine Culpepper; and one brother, Elton Culpepper.
     He is survived by his wife, Ouida Culpepper of Brandon; five children, Amy Coke of Florence, Tim Culpepper of Magee, Joel Hudson of Maben, Kerry Hudson of Brandon and Shawn Hudson of Brandon; six sisters, Bonnie Boyd of Florence, Marie Hollingsworth of Decatur, Linda Milling of Decatur, Patsy Leach of Lake, Sandra Creel of Florence and Diane Burkes of Forest; three brothers, Ernest Culpepper of Florence, Melton Culpepper of Lake and Ronald Wayne Culpepper of Georgia; and eight grandchildren.
     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Brandon Baptist Dr., Brandon, MS 39042 or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Miss. Chapter 408 Fontaine Place, Suite 104 Ridgeland, MS 39157.1

He was a retired electric motor winder having worked for P & B Electric and Flint River Electric.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Rebecca C. McCook of Bainbridge, GA; his son, Shannon McCook of Bainbridge, GA; his brother, Jimmy McCook of Bainbridge, GA; his sister-in-law, Joyce McCook; his brother-in-law, Jimmy Childree; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter; his brother, Wayne McCook; and his sister, Theresa Childree.3 
Burial*19 February 2011 His body was interred on 19 February 2011 at Oak City Cemetery, Bainbridge, Decatur Co., Georgia.3
