Obituary*21 September 2009 Dorothy W. Culpepper, 95, of Edwardsville, Ill, born Sept. 25, 1913, died at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville, Ill.
     Mrs. Culpepper was a certified public accountant and tax accountant for 50 years retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Rebekeh Lodge of Wood River, Ill.
     Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Culpepper, whom she married on May 29, 1945, in Little Rock, Ark., and who died on Jan. 28, 1988; parents, Frank Edward and Elvira, nee Stone, Chandler; brothers, Jim, Virgil and Bud Chandler; and sisters, Thelma Hall and Gertrude Chandler.
     Surviving are her daughters,
Sandy (John) Winkelman of Virginia,
Betty (Bob) Jarzombek of Edwardsville, Ill.,
Beverly Webb of Wood River, Ill., and
Janice (Cy) McGhee of Fosterburg, Ill;
six grandchildren, Karen Albert, Phillip Winkelman, Mike Neely, Tammy Cheatham, Tracey, nee McGhee, Sutton and Heather McGhee; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dee Asselmier of Edwardsville, Ill.
     Memorials may be made to the Elevator Fund at First Baptist Church in Wood River, Ill. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Paynic Home for Funerals, East Alton, Ill. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home with the Rev. Joel W. Lohr officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Park, Godfrey, Ill.1 
Burial*22 September 2009 Her body was interred on 22 September 2009 at Valhalla Memorial Park, Godfrey, Madison Co., Illinois.1
