Biography* Marsh "Good Roads Wilson" was a successful business man in Burleson, TX. He
and a brother (I guess) owned a furniture store, Wilson Brothers Furniture
Store. They also sold buggies until they went out of fashion. But he was well
known in Johnson County and Fort Worth for helping to put Burleson on a main
highway. His main concern was to keep Burleson from being cut off and left to
die. An article from the Fort Worth Star Telegram dated January 27 1931 said
he had been voted the "most outstanding citizen" by the people of Burleson.
He was also involved in getting phone service there also.1

     Born November 21, 1928, in Society Hill, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Coit Chapman and Pauline Beulah Reynolds Chapman.
     She was a retired seamstress with Hunter Manufacturing. Betty was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who was loved by many. The sweetest lady anyone ever met now walks hand and hand with the Lord.
     She will be deeply missed by her loving children: Lawrence Potter (Brenda Paige) of Goose Creek, Linda Godin (Ray) of Summerville, Sandra Wilson (Chris) of Summerville, Bobby Potter (Scott) of Summerville, Pat Loftis (Darius) of Goose Creek, Billy Potter (Jackie) of Goose Creek; a brother, Ronald Chapman of Society Hill, SC; three sisters: Clara Kenney of New York, Martha Ann Gardener of Georgia and Mary Coventry of Bennettsville, SC; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
     She was preceded in death by her son Roy Potter in 1999.
     The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., on Friday, August 7, 2009, at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2009, in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Whispering Pines Cemetery, Old Hwy 52, Moncks Corner.
