Visitation: Friends may call until 8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home. Mrs. Culpepper was born Aug. 8, 1922, to Beatrice King and Henry Floyd in Knox City, where she spent most of her childhood. She married Glen E. Culpepper, the love of her life, in Miami, Fla., on April 2, 1968. She had five children and had lived in Lubbock, Miami, Fla., Granbury, Lake Worth and Fort Worth. Allyne's children send heartfelt love and appreciation to her niece, Betty Curran of Fort Worth, for all of the care, patience, love and compassion she gave to Allyne in her final years. Allyne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen; daughter, Janet Stephenson; brother, J.C. Floyd; and sister, Mildred Hodges. Survivors: Children, Buddy Kenneda of Brazoria, Evelyn Ragsdale and Mary Hulen, both of LaPorte, and Donna Guinn of Lake Buchanan; sisters, Oneta Robinson of Lamesa and Jewel Norman of Lake Worth; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.1 |
