Obituary* | 19 October 2012 | Atreyu Michael Culpepper was born April 14, 2011, and passed away on Monday October 15, 2012 at 10:32 a.m. at Arkansas Children's Hospital with his mommy by his side. Atreyu lived most of his life in the CICU at Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA. He was born with a Congenital Heart Defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). This means Atreyu was born with half a heart. Atreyu means "boy warrior" and he truly lived up to his name. He was fighter and fought every day until the very end. Atreyu is survived by his parents, Amber Davis and Adam Culpepper, his brother, Aiden, maternal grandparents Larry and Angela Davis, and paternal grandparents Donna Garon and Siripan and Steve Culpepper. Visitation will be on Sunday October 21, 2012 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. and again on Monday 22, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday October 22, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. The services will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home located at 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001.1 |
