is the Latter Day Saints web site. This is an excellent site to locate names. It's mostly Birth/Christening and Marriage records, with some Death records. You can search the IGI (International Genealogical Index), Pedigree Resource File and Ancestral File, U.S. Social Security Death Index and webpages. I have found a huge amount of information at this site. Fantastic if you're just starting out on your tree.
Genuki is another great site. It's GENealogy for UK & Ireland. The site is broken into Country, then into county. And each county has a wealth of information on a whole range including Census or Church records, Description and Travel, Genealogy (of course), History, Language, Maps, Names - Geographical and Personal, Newspaper, Occupations, Society, Voting...the list goes on.
