ANDREW HAMILTON, first Hamilton in my records, married MARTHA KINKAID in 1741.    Andrew was born 1697 in Tyrone Co., Ireland and died September 21,1790 in Augusta County Virginia.  Martha's date of birth unknown but she died about 1800 in Bath County Virginia.   

The Children of Andrew and Martha Kinkaid Hamilton:

1.  ANDREW HAMILTON, JR., first child of Andrew Hamilton, Sr. and Martha Kincaid,  married Jane McGill (McGora) 1764 in Augusta Co., Virginia.  He was a Captain Major in military service for his country.  He died January 1, 1835.   Jane McGill (McGora) was born December 20, 1740 and died April 20, 1826 in Bath County, Virginia

The Children of Andrew and Jane McGill (McGora) Hamilton:

1.  ARCHIBALD HAMILTON,  first child of  Andrew  and Jane Hamilton, was born 1776 in Abbyville, North Carolina.  He married NANCY THOMPSON in 1786.

The Children of Archibald and Nancy Thompson Hamilton:

 b.   WILLIAM ARCHIBALD HAMILTON, first child of Archibald and Nancy Thompson Hamilton, was born May14, 1795 in South Carolina .  He married SUSANNAH  surname unknown.   Susanna born October 4, 1800. 

The Children of William Archibald and Susannah Hamilton:

 5a.  MATTHEW THOMPSON HAMILTON, fifth child of William Archibald and Susannah Hamilton, was born  in Guenette County Georgia.  He married HENRIETTA DICEY BRAMBLETT, November 05, 1868 in Georgia.  She was born  January 22, 1837 in Guenette County Georgia and died March 18, 1918 in Shelby County Texas.  He died June 23, 1896 in Shelby County Texas.  Both are buried in Hamilton-Nicholson-Everett Cemetery, in Shelby County, Texas.

The Children of Matthew Thompson and Henrietta Hamilton:   

1b. WILLIAM ARCHIBALD HAMILTON, first child of  Matthew Thompson and Henrietta Bramblett, married ELIZABETH BRADY December 05, 1894.  She was the daughter of   CHARLES UNDERWOOD BRADY and MARY VANCE GREER.  She was born February 22, 1865 and died March 15, 1834.  He died October 26, 1939.  Both  were born and died  in Shelby County are buried at  Greer-Brady Cemetery Shelby County Texas.   See GREER FAMILY for more information.

The Children of William Archibald and Elizabeth Brady Hamilton:

1c.  ZELDA VAUGHN  HAMILTON Hamilton, first child of William Archibald and Elizabeth Brady Hamilton, married  Reverend Daniel Olive Mask, Octover 15, 1916 in Shelby County, Texas.  He was born   October 01. 1889 at Sugar Town, Louisiana and died March 28, 1978.  She died October 5, 1987.  Both are buried at Greer-Brady Cemetery in Shelby County, Texas.  He was a Methodist Minister.

The Children of Daniel and Zelda Hamilton Mask:

1a. LOYCE WILMA MASK, daughter of Daniel O. and Zelda Hamilton Mask.   She married LEWIS DELONEY.  He was  son of LEWIS M. and OLLIE WARR DELONEY.

The children of Loyce and Lewis Deloney:

1b.  CHARLES LEWIS DELONEY,  only son of Lewis and Loyce Mask Deloney.  He   married TOMMIE JO RITTER.  He Married Nancy surname unknown.   He died April 2, 1992 and is buried at Oaklawn Cemetery Shelby County, Texas.

The Children of Charles and Tommie Jo Ritter Deloney:

2a.  BERNARD HURST MASK, son of Daniel O. and Zelda Hamilton Mask,  married JOYCE KATHLEEN WILSON March 3, 1946 in London, England where Joyce was born.  She was the daughter of ERNEST and KATHLEEN HUELIN, also from England.     

The Children of Bernard and Joyce Wilson Mask:

1b.  CAROL ANN MASK,  daughter of Bernard and Joyce Wilson Mask, married JIM FARRELL.  He died 1996 and is buried near Hamilton, Ohio.

The Children of Carol Ann and Jim  Farrell:

 2c.      MURLE ELIZABETH HAMILTON, daughter of Willian Archibald and Elizabeth Brady Hamilton.  She married BUCK BITTICK, December 15, 1929 in Shelby County, Texas.  He was the son of GEORGE CRITTENDEN BITTICK and JESSIE MURPHY BITTICK, JR.  Buck was born April 02, 1903 and died June 15, 1977.   He is buried at Bethel Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas.  She died August 27, 1940 and is buried at Greer-Brady Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas. The children of Buck and Murle Hamilton Bittick: 

3a. JOHNNIE OLIVE BITTICK, son of Buck and Murle Hamilton Bittick,  He married  LILLIAN LOYCE ROBBINS March 3, 1951, by Reverend Daniel Olive Mask in the Brady Community,  Shelby County Texas.  She is the daughter of OLIVER ROBBINS and MARTHA JANE OLIVER.    For more information see OLIVER ROBBINS FAMILY

The Children of Johnnie and Lillian Bittick:

2b.  ROBERT H. HAMILTON, second son of Matthew and Henrietta Hamilton was born in 1872.  He married CLARA MACAULEY GREER.  She was born December 02, 1872 and died July 18, 1930.  She was the daughter of LEWIS VANCE GREER and MARIAH JOSPEHINE McCAULEY.  See GREER website.  They had no children and were buried at Fairview Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas.  He was called "Uncle Bob." 

3b.  LEWIS AUGUSTUS HAMILTON, third son of Matthew and Henrietta Hamilton was born March 18 1876.  He married RACHEL MARTIN.  She was born April 16, 1876 to CHARLIE MARTIN and BETTY DOWLING.   He died November 13, 1936 and she died September 7, 1941 in Shelby County Texas.

The Children of Lewis Augustus and Rachel Martin Hamilton;

3.   EUELL HAMILTON, third child of Lewis Augustus and Rachel Martin Hamilton, married LEONA SPEAKS September 1925 in Shrevport, Louisiana.  Leona was born February 7, 1901 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Euell died February 1980 and buried at Jocksboro, Texas.

4.   CLAUDE HAMILTON,  fourth son of  Lewis Augustus and Rachel Martin Hamilton, married  Kathryn Byers.  He died 1985.

6a.    L. A. HAMILTON, fifth child of Lewis Augustus and Rachel Martin Hamilton, married Edith Kimberlin.

6a.  ELIZABETH JANE HAMILTON , daughter of William Archibald and Susanna Hamilton, born in Georgia.  She married WILLIAM KNIGHT of San Augustine County, Texas.  She was the daughter of WILLIAM ARCHIBALD and SUSANNAH HAMILTON.

The Children of  William and Elizabeth Hamilton Knight:

Note:  WILL ALLEN HAMILTON, born June 18, 1856 and died July 27, 1939,   was one of five orphan children who came here from Georgia after the Civil War.  He was probably a son of Will Allen Hamilton Jr., cousin of other Hamiltons who came to East Texas after the Civil war.  He married FRANCIS M. BRADY .  For more on the family see GREER-BRADY CEMETERY on website.  William Allen 111 and Francis M. Brady Hamilton  are buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Other Hamilton's buried there also are:  IDA FAY HAMILTON, Born July 27, 1893 Died September 25, 1983,; MAY HALL HAMILTON born May 5, 1870, died October 13, 1945; ILIAS HAMILTON, born 1816, died September 30, 1840; SUSANA THOMPSON HAMILTON, born December 2-1832, died August 26, 1926;  HENRY THOMPSON HAMILTON, born January 1, 1822 and died October 6, 1868.  I would like to know if these also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery are connected to the Will Allen Hamilton family above.

The Children of  Alfred and Charlotte Hamilton Everett:

1b.  OLIVIA (LEVIE) EVERETT, daughter of Alfred Pinkney and Charlotte Colwell Hamilton was born September 29, 1853.  She married NEIL MARTIN ca 1873.  He was the son of JOHN NICHOLSON and MARY (POLLY) MCIVER.  Olivia and Neil Martin are buried at Hamilton-Nicholson-Everette Cemetery Shelby County, Texas. 2b.  HUGH ALLEN EVERETT, second child of Alfred Pinkney and Charlotte Hamilton Everett, was born August 26, 1856.  He married HATTIE surname unknown.

4b.  SALLY EVERETT, fourth child of Alfred and Charlotte Hamilton Everett.  She married JACK E. MARTIN,  son of CHARLES AND VIOLET ELIZABETH DOWLING MARTIN.  See   NICHOLSON FAMILY   for more information.

9a.  LUCINDA SUZANNAH HAMILTON, ninth child of William Archibald and Suzanna Hamilton. She married  WILLIAM KIRKSEY FREEMAN.

NOTE:  I would like to hear from Lucinda Susannah's family.  She was sister to my husband, Johnnie Bittick's grandfather, William Archibald (Uncle Billy)  Hamilton, who married Elizabeth Brady.       

  1c.  CHARLOTTE ELIZABETH (CHARLSIE) MARTIN, first child of Jack and Sally Everett Martin, married WELDON SPOTTSWOOD (SPOT) SANDERS September 15, 1909.

1a.  WELDON SANDERS, only child of Spottswood and Charlsie Martin Sanders, married  RUTH STEELE.  He was born October 18, 1910 and died November 27, 1985.  Ruth was born September 05, 1911 and died January 27, 1996.   He is buried at Oaklawn Cemetery.

2c.  ZERELDA MARTIN, second child of Jack E. and Sally V. Everett Martin, married  J. J. WALKER.

3c.     KIRKSEY (REESE) MARTIN, third child of Jack E. and Sally V. Everett Martin, married Jeffie Murph Carriker,  born December 13, 1890 and died April 14, 1948.  Buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Nacogdoches, Texas.

The children of Kirksey and Jeffie Carriker Martin:

4c.    ALLEN MARTIN, fourth child of Jack and Sally Everett Martin, married second JO ELLA BURTON NELSON.  She born March 5, 1855 and died March 7, 1932.
