Bill Groth Comes  to the Rescue Again!
Reunion Still on Despite
Location Setback

Bill Groth, Mexia, Texas, has pulled through once again for his family, He has located a place for the Sanders Family to gather and visit for a couple of days. The family has been meeting for several years now at the Fort Parker State Park in Mexia. However, it was not available for rent this year. An alternate location of Whitney State Park, Whitney, Texas has been obtained for August 15, 16 & 17th.

We will not have the luxury accommodations of the Park as we have in the past. There are not the cabins available. However, there is a nice Group Recreational Facility that is air Conditioned and sleeps 30 people overnight. There is a kitchen, but we will have to bring all utensils. There is a yard area around the building that can accommodate tents, if you are into that sort of "ruffin" it. Close by there are campsites for Camper Trailers. You will need to make an individual reservation for the campsites with the park prior to arrival. (512)389-8900

As always we will have the campsite from Friday at 10:00am to Sunday at 9:00pm. Entrance fee is $2.00 per day per person 13 yrs old and older. $1.00 per day per sr. citizen. Campsites rent $5.00 per day. Whitney State Park (254)694-3793

Remember to bring all your own linens, utensils, snacks/meals for your family, breakfast foods for the days you are there, drinks, casserole or side dish for Saturday's lunch and DO NOT FORGET your auction items and bingo prizes. Maybe we can get Judy to help with some biscuits.

This year has been tough on so many...
Many in our family has had illness and tragedy in the last 12-14 months. Please keep all your family members in your prayers. Those that we are aware of are:
  • Harold Sanders
  • Nina Groth
  • Bruce and Dean Sanders
  • Betty and Alton Tynes
  • Tim and Vanessa Hale
  • Margaret Sanders
  • Pat Sanders
  • Judy Devenport
  • Eddie Elin
Please keep these families and those that care for them in your prayers daily.

We have had several that have had job difficulties as well. Please keep them in your prayers. This is even a more critical time for us as family to come together to support each other.

We look forward to seeing everyone that can be there. If you can even come for the day, please come.
