Clawson's:
Came from Tennesse. Lived between Tn and NC. Moved out west to mine gold.
Samuel Clawson, In 1854 crossed plains and settled in Monterey then to Siskiyou county Cali. Last few years on his farm in Henley, survivor of modoc war and was acquainted w/ captain jack. He had a mine in Siskiyou Co. CA. He named it Annie Mine after his wife. Samuel also owned a bar in Hornbrook, where he mad and sold Clawson shotglasses, of which there are still some amongst the family.
