David Teachman, b. 1726

Alfred Teachman and Colleen Lofrese first worked on gathering information on the Teachmans in the 1970s. Alfred was interested in joining the Sons of the American Revolution. To that end, in 1978 he constructed a lineage chart comprised of male offspring. On the chart he states: 1. Lineage of Andrew Teachman 1775 (male); 2. All dates are year of birth; 3. "x" indicates end of male branch; 4. "**" - continued in "Lineage of Abraham Teachman 1773 (male); 5. For more biographical information see "Family of Andrew Teachman and Eleanor Board" by Andrew C. Teachman, on deposit with Orange County Genealogical Society, N.Y. "The Teachmans of America" including Lineage of Abraham will be deposited with the New Jersey Historical Society, N.J. by Alfred E. Teachman. No indication of what the single asterisk stands for was given although it is surmised that it is a line where there are descendants that he did not follow. The chart lists descendants to the 9th generation. Included on this page are the first five generations.
