to John James GRINSTEAD and Elizabeth MANNERS in Leeds, York, England

He died in 1954 in New Zealand

He left London, England on 21 August 1908, aged 36 years
on board the Athenic

He arrived in Wellington, New Zealand on 5 October 1908

Herbert married Emily Jane JOHNSTONE, on 25 Nov 1895 in Bristol, England

They had the following children:

1. Herbert Manners GRINSTEAD (1897-1970)

2. Sidney James GRINSTEAD (1900-1994)

3. Ethel GRINSTEAD (1906-1975)
