Thomas Urquhart MCKENZIE was born on 6 July 1820 at Arboll, Parish of Tarbet, Black Isle, Ross-shire, Scotland
to Robert Bruce Aeneas MCKENZIE and Harriet ROSS

Thomas emigrated to New Zealand aboard the Oriental in 1839, disembarking on 15 February 1840

He died on 16 May 1904

Thomas married Margaret FRASER on 20 June 1842 in Wellington, New Zealand
Thomas was aged 22 and Margaret aged 16
The ceremony was performed by the Rev John MacFarlane the first Presbyterian minister who came to our shores
