Lantz Links

Useful Lantz Links

These are some links that I have found useful in researching my Lantz family.

Jacob W. Lantz' book, The Lantz Family Record is the backbone of most Lantz family research. When he published the book, he placed it in the public domain and now others have taken the time to type this book and place it on the Internet for other researchers.

Mennobits is a great site sponsored by the Mennonite Church USA Historical Committee. It contains the full-text (and sometimes the images) of obituaries published in many Mennonite publications through the years. I was very excited to find the obituaries for both my great-great grandfather and great-great-grandmother the first time I explored the site and have now been able to locate many more obituaries for family members.

The Swiss Anabaptist Genealogical Association's OMII Project (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and elsewhere) maintains a huge database of genealogical information.

While he is from a different branch of the Lantz family, Bill Lantz' Lantz Family History site contains information relevant to the earliest generation of my Lantz line and photos and documents relevant to some of the Lantz "cousins" in another branch of the family tree.

My Lantz family started out in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The Historical Society of Berks County's Library Page contains links useful to researchers in this county.
