In the name of God Amen, I Charles Hunter of Rowan County and State of North Carolina Being in Perfect helth of Body and Mind but knowing the Mortallity of the Body that is appointed for all men to die and after Death to Judgement and in Order to arang My worldly afears Do on this Seventeenth Day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & three Established this my last will and Testament

first of all I Earnestly Commit my Soul to god who gave it Through Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my Body to be desently Buried up in the Earth in a Christian like manner at the Discretion of my Executors Hereafter to be Named and as Tuching my worldly goods as please almighty god to Bless me with in this life I Give Devise & Dispose of in the manner and form following Viz

first of all I Give it as my will & Desire that my wife Eus Rosanah Hunter Shall have and posess the Hole & use and Benefit of my Estate Both rale & personal as long as She continues My widow and ! Makes no wast of the Estate but use as it for the Benefit of her Suport & to rase my children-and in Case She my wife as a foresaid Should marry then and in that Case She is to have only an Equil part of my personal Estate Equilly Divided Between her and all my Daughters and at the Death of her My wife in Case in case she dies my widow then all personal Estate to be Equilly divided Between all my Daughters To wit Mary Burgess, Hanna Hunter, Betsey Susana Nelley Rachel Rosanah & Ledia Hunters

Except what shall be ______ Be _____ to my sons and I Give and Bequeth to My Two Sons Valentine and John Hunter all my lands to be lade of in the following Manner that is to Say Beginning at the Northwest Corner of the Original tract and rining a Streat line from Said Corner to Either of the Two Marked white Oakes Marked by the said Hunter for the dividing of said land Bri__ W of Jams & son Valentine Being present and from the said Marked white Oake a Due South Course to the line of Basil ! Gaither land and all that part of the land Westward of said line I give and Bequeth to my son Valentine Hunter & his Heirs forever and the Remainder to my son John Hunter to him & his Heirs forever and also to Each of my sons I give one Horse Creture worth Sixty Dollars and no Other part of my personal Estate and lastly I Do Constitute Ordain and appoint my Beloved Sons Valentine & John Hunter my whole and Sole Executors of this my last will & Testament Revoking and Making Voyod all other wills & Bequeaths Here to fore by me made But Ratifying and Confirming this and no Other to be my last will and Acknowledged the day and year above written In Witness Whareoff
