Additional census information submitted by Kim Opalewski Brizendine:

In 1910, the Crittenden County (Old River Township), census shows a Dakota Mitchusson with a husband Sam Mitchusson.

According to the  1920 Crittenden County (Old River Township) census, John H. Brizendine was married to a wife (Dakota) with an 8 year old stepson (Sam Mitchusson), two daughters (Blanch  and "illegible"), and an infant son (John Jr).

On the 1930 Crittenden County (Old River Township) census, John H. Brizendine appears as having a wife (Dakota), four daughters (Blanche, Margaret, Henrietta, Thelma), a son (Marvin H), and a step son (Sammie Mitchusson). Their oldest child is age 15. The stepson is age 18 (birthdate ca 1912). It would  probably be safe to assume that John Henry Brizendine and Dakota Brizendine were husband and wife.

The 1880 Crittenden County (Scott Twp) census shows James Gavleston Brizentine living close to J.C. Brizentine. James Galveston did have a brother, John, a couple years older than him. The ages for both of them appear appropriate for being the two brothers on the 1880 census. J.C. Brizentine and wife N.E. had three sons listed (Jos. W., I.J., and John H - age 3) on the 1880 census. Therefore, an assumption (but not proven) would be that the "John Henry Brizendine" was the nephew of James Galveston Brizendine.
