Petition for Sale of Real Estate

 

 

 

 

STODDARD COUNTY, MISSOURI

In the Probate Court of Stoddard County, Mo. 

In the matter of the Estate of Duncan D. Lunsford, Deceased

 

Reuben Harper Administrator de Bois non of the estate of the said deceased comes and prays the honorable Probate Court for Stoddard County to order a sale of the real estate of the said Duncan D. Lunsford deceased, or so much thereof as may be sufficient to pay the debts of the said deceased and states to the Court that he has been unable to discover any personal estate of deceased or claims of any kind due the estate.

 

There are due by the deceased of claims allowed by this court as follows;

 

Polly Kennedy admx of Henry Kennedy decd without prejudice           $308.10

George H. Cim____ in 6th  class                                                                     $45.72

                                                Amounting to =======                                $353.82

 

That there will not be funds in the hands of the administrator to pay the debts of the deceased without selling part of the real estate inventoried as follows;

 

The NE of NW & NW of NE of Sec. 16.  Also the S 1/2 SE 1/4 and SE 1/4 SW 1/4 Sect. No 9 Township 25 North of Range 11 East,  200 acres and he recommends that the same be sold for the payment of the debts due by the deceased or so much of said real estate as may be sufficient for that purpose.

Reuben Harper being sworn says that the above petition contains a true account of his administration of the estate of Duncan D. Lunsford deceased, the lists of the debts due to and by the deceased and remaining unpaid, a true inventory of the real estate and of the remaining personal estate and all other assets in his hands.

On their oath say that they are householders of Stoddard not interested in nor of kin to Deceased and that they will to the best of their several abilities view and appraise the real Estate of Dunkin Lunsford deceased shown them by Reuben Harper administrator de bois non of said..

We the undersigned appraisers appointed to appraise the real Estate shown to us by Reuben Harper administrator de bois non of Estate of Duncan D. Lunsford Deceased as the property thereof do hereby certify that we have viewed said real Estate and appraise the same as follows

N W  S E 1/4 of S W 1/4 sect. No 9, Town 25 R 11 East to $200.00

N E   N W 1/4 sect. No 16, Town 25 Range 11 East to $200.00

N W 1/4 N E 1/4 sect. No 16 Town 25 Range 11 East to $200.00

Reuben Harper late administrator of the Estate of Dunklin D. Lunsford Deceased, account current with said Estate made by the administrator of said Reuben Harper deceased for said Harper with the probate court of Stoddard County at the October Term of said Court AD 1873.

 

Tuesday October 28th, 2nd day of the term

 

This accountant stands charged as follows to wit;

To amount on hand at last annual Settlement at July 24th 1872                 $905.45

Interest on same 6 months                                                                                30.25

                                                Total Charges      ====                                  $935.70

                                    Balance against Harpers Estate   ==                          $63.34
