This
Indenture Made and entered into this Twentieth day of December in the year of
our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and Thirty Six, Between Newton Cannon of
Davidson County and William Ledbetter of Ruther ford County and State of
Tennessee of the one part and William W. Wellborne of
Gibson County and State aforesaid of the other part
Witnesseth that for and in
consideration of One Thousand Dollars paid by the said William W. Wellborne to his farther James Wellborne
of
Therefore at the request of
the said James Wellborne we hereby convey quit claim
and relinquish to the said William W. Wellborne, his
heirs and assigns forever all the right title interest and claim vested in us
and held by a Deed of Conveyance from said James Wellborne
of the State of North Carolina dated the 7th day of September 1830.
To all the undivided
interest held by said James Wellborne in a tract of
land situated in
To have and to hold to the
said William W. Wellborn his heirs and assigns forever all the right and title
in vested by said Deed of Conveyance aforesaid to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Wm. W. his heirs and assigns forever
and the said Cannon & Ledbetter hereby do warrant and forever defend the
same from all persons claiming under them as their heirs or assigns but from no
other persons.
In Witness whereof the said
Newton Cannon and William Ledbetter hath hereunto set their hands and affixed
their seals the day and date before mentioned.
