Know
all men by these presents that I, Thomas G. Swett, of said County and State in
consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars in hand paid me J. C. Lunsford
also of said County and State the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
granted bargained sold and release and by these presents do grant bargain sell
and release unto the said J. C. Lunceford all that certain piece parcel or
tract of land situated in said County and State containing sixty five acres,
more or less bounded on the North by lands of Mark Smith and East by lands of
Henry Bass, on South by ___ of Phalls? Creek and on
the West by high water mark on the west side of Big Branch including in said
Western side and Boundary all of Big Branch adjoining said Tract together with
all and singular the rights members hereditaments and
appurtenances unto the said premises appertaining to have and to hold all and
singular the said premises unto the said J. C. Luncsford
his heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself and my heirs
Executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend said premises unto
said Luncsford his heirs and assigns against me and
my heirs and all others lawfully _____ same or any part thereof .

E. W. Pointer, Trial Justice, doe hereby certify unto all whom it may concern
that Mrs. Amanda Swett the wife of the within named T. G. Swett did this day
appear before me and upon being privately and separately examined by me did
declare that she does freely voluntarily and without any compulsion dread or
fear of any person or persons whomsoever ____ release and forever relinquish
unto the within named J. C. Luncsford his heirs and
assigns all her interest and estate and also all her right and claim of Dower
of in to all and singular the premises within mentioned and release .
