The State of
Know
all men by these presents that we, A. F. Sharp and wife M. K. Sharp of the
County of Lampasas, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of One
Thousand Dollars to us in hand paid by M. H. Lunceford of the aforesaid County
and State the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have granted sold and
conveyed and by these presents do grant sell and convey unto the said M. H.
Lunceford of the County of Lampasas, State of Texas, all that certain tract or
parcel of land situated in the Ninth Civil District of the County of Obion and
in the State of Tennessee, to wit;
Beginning at a Poplar the
S. E. corner of R. R. Long 125 acre tract of land deeded to said R. R. Long on
the 25th day of Dec. 1896 by Evans Jackson and wife, runs thence
north with said Fields west boundary line to said Fields N. W. corner, thence
west with the N. B. line of grant No. 251 the N. E. corner of the said R. R.
Longs 125 acre tract. Thence south with the East Boundary line of the said
Longs 125 acre tract to the beginning containing, by estimation, 175 acres more
or less. The timber is reserved on said gand [land] according to my contract with G. R. Minnick and
Co. This is a copy of the Deed from Wm.
P. Barton to A. F. Sharp, reserving the timber on the above described land and
said A. F. Sharp hereby relinquishes all his claim on
said timber to the said M. H. Lunceford and wife the purchasers of said
land.
To have and to hold the
above described premises together with all and singular the rights and
appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging unto the said M. H. Lunceford his
heirs and assigns forever and we do hereby bind ourselves our heirs executors
and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said
premises unto the said M. H. Lunceford his heirs and assigns against every
person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same on any part thereof.
Witness our hand at Lomela this 14 day of June A. D. 1894

Personally
appeared before me A. J. McGuyer a Notary Public for
Lampasas County, State of Texas, the within named bargainors
A. F. Sharp and M. K. Sharp with whom I am personally acquainted and who
acknowledged that they executed the within instrument for the purpose therein
contained and M. K. Sharp, wife of the said A. F. Sharp, having appeared before
me privately and apart from her said husband A. F. Sharp acknowledged the
execution of the said instrument to have been done by her freely voluntarily
and understandingly without compulsion or constraint from her said husband and
for the purpose therein expressed.
