This Indenture, made on the
19th day of April A. D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Seven by and
between J. W. Vaughn, N. J. Vaughn his wife of the County of Dunklin in the
State of Missouri parties of the First
Part, and J. S. Lunsford of the
County of Dunklin in the State of Missouri, party of the Second Part:
WITNESSETH,
That the said parties of the First Part in consideration of the sum of Fifty Hundred
dollars to us paid by the said party of the Second Part, the receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged does by these presents, Grant, Bargain and Sell, Convey
and Confirm, unto the said party of the Second Part his heirs and assigns, the
following described Lots, Tracts, or Parcels of Land, lying, being and situate
in the County of Dunklin and State of Missouri to wit:
All of that part of Lots
Twenty three (23) and Twenty four (24) in Block Eleven (11) in the Town of
Cardwell, Dunklin County, State of Missouri to wit; commencing at the Southeast
corner of the Lot Twenty four (24) Thence North (40) ft. Forty feet, Thence
Fifty feet West thence South Forty feet, Thence East Fifty-feet to beginning
corner.
To
Have and To Hold the premises aforesaid, with all and singular the Rights,
Privileges, Appurtenances and Immunities thereto belonging or in anywise
appertaining, unto the said party of the Second Part, and unto his heirs and
assigns, Forever; the said J. W. Vaughn
and his wife hereby covenanting that they are lawfully seized of an
Indefeasible Estate in Fee in the premises herein conveyed; that they have good
right to convey the same; that the said premises are free and clear of any incumbrances done or suffered by them or those under whom
they claim; and that they will Warrant And Defend the title to the said
premises unto the said party of the Second Part, and unto his heirs and
assigns, Forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons
whomsoever.

hands and seals the day and year first above written.

this 23 day of September A. D. 1897, before me personally appeared J. W. Vaughn
and N. J. Vaughn, his wife, to me known to be the persons described in and who
executed the foregoing instrument, and acknowledged that they executed the same
as their free act and deed.

my office in Cardwell the day and year first above written.
