Lunsford to Lucy Turner
This Indenture made this the 18th day of
December in the year of Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty between Peyton Lunsford of the state of North
Carolina and County of Anson of the one part and Lucy Turner of the County and
state aforesaid of the other Part witnesseth that for
and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars to him the
said Peyton Lunsford in hand paid
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold aliened conveyed
and confirmed unto her the said Lucy Turner a certain tract or parcel of Land
situated in Anson County beginning at a stake in William Threadgill
Sr’s line and running with said line No. 66 West 39 chns to his and Thomas Threadgill’s
pine then with Thos. Threadgill’s No 45 West 28 chns to Hamby’s Corner Post oak then with his line So 70 Wst 18 chns crossing the Road to
a stake then So 15 Est 38 chns
80 links to a stake near five black Jacks and pine then No 81 Est 62 chns 50 links to the
Beginning Containing One hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less and I
the said Peyton Lunsford for myself
my heirs and executors do warrant the above Land to Lucy Turner against all
Lawful claims of any Person or Persons whatever in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day
and date above written signed and delivered in presence of
