Paton Lunsford to Levin Watson

 

This Indenture made this 12th day of May in the year of our Lord 1808. Between Paton Lunsford of the County of Anson & State of North Carolina of the one part, and Leven Watson of the County and State aforesaid of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Paton Lunsford for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred one hundred silver dollars to him in hand paid by the said Leven Watson, the Receipt where of the said Paton Lunsford doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain & sell alien and confirm unto the said Leven Watson his heirs & assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Anson and in State aforesaid, Beginning at John Tyson’s corner Stake among seven black jacks, on the west side of the Waggon Road and runs with Tyson’s line So 58 E, 25 chains & 50 links to a gum.  Then No. 15 E 43 chns 73 links with Watson’s line, to his corner Stake among three post oaks then No, 83 E 10 chains & 60 links to Ezekiel McLendon’s corner turkey oak then So. 81 wst 62 ch. & 50 links to a stake crossing the Waggon Road by five black jacks & a line then So. 15 E to the Beginning, Containing one hundred & forty five acres (145) more or less, & also all the ways woods waters & water courses & all & every the appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversion & reversions remainder and remainders rents & issues & profits of the aforesaid land and every part thereof in and to the lands & premises here by granted.  To have and to hold the aforesaid land & premises with the appurtenances unto the sd Leven Watson his heirs and assigns to the proper use & behalf of the said Leven Watson his heirs and assigns forever and the said Paton Lunsford for himself and his heirs the aforesaid land & premises & every part there of against himself & against the claim of all and every other person or persons whatsoever to the said Leven Watson, his heirs and assigns.  Shall & will forever warrant and defend by these presents.  In witness where of the said Paton Lunsford hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
