Know
all men by these presents that I, J. A. Moore of the County of Crockett and
State of Tenn. for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred and fifty
six dollars paid to me by W. B. Lunsford, I have this day bargained and sold
and do hereby transfer and convey unto the said W. B. Lunsford his heirs and
assigns forever one half undivided interest in the following tract or parcel of
land upon which is erected a Saw Mill, Grist Mill, Planing
Mill and Gin and Press. The property is situated in the 12th Civil District
of Crockett Co
Beginning at a stake in the
center of rail road bed runs thence 34 degrees west poles to a stake in center
of public road. Thence North 6 degrees west 29 poles to a
black oak. Thence 34 degrees East 18 3/8 poles to a stake in center of
Rail Road Bed. Thence South 21 degrees East to the beginning.
Containing by estimation in all 2 3/8 acres more or less.
To have and to hold the
same.
The said land, mills. Engine, Machinery, Gin and the appurtenances and fixtures
belonging thereto and including all the lumber and material on said ground to
him the said Lunsford his heirs and assigns forever.
I covenant with the said
Lunsford that I am lawfully seized of said property and that the same is unencumbered
and that I have a perfect right to convey the same and will warrant the title
thereof against all persons whomsoever and I, Mrs. M. E. Moore do hereby join
in this conveyance for the purposes of relinquishing all my right and title
claim and interest I have in and to the said property by virtue of the
homestead and dower laws of the State of Tennessee or any other claims I may
have in and to said land and machinery.

Personally
appeared before me Jack Ferguson Notary Public of said County, J. A. Moore and
M. E. Moore wife of the said J. A. Moore the bargainer to the foregoing and hereunto
attached deed with whom I am personally acquainted and who severely
acknowledged that they executed the same for the purposes therein expressed,
and the said M. E. Moore on a private examination apart from her husband the
said J. A. Moore acknowledged before me the execution of the said deed to have
been done by her freely voluntarily and understandingly without compulsion or
constraint from her husband and for the purposes therein expressed.
