The following clipping was found in the belonging of Dr. Charles B. Lunsford who was born April 8, 1872 in Ripley, Lauderdale County, Tennessee and died July 20, 1953 in Blytheville, Mississippi County, Arkansas.

     In this cause it appearing to me from the bill filed herein which is sworn to, that the defendants, Lillian Jordan, Charles Lunsford, Estes Lunsford, Frank Lunsford, Effie Pitman, Wm. A. Thompson, Sarah Norris, William Saddler, Jim Saddler, John Saddler, Annie Pearson, Mary Patton, Anna Ozment, Viola Ozment, Bettie Ozment, John Ozment, Citizens and residents of the State of Arkansas, and non residents of Tennessee;  John Turner, Cleveland Thompson, Ira Thompson, Fannie Burns, Non residents of Tennessee, and citizens and residents of the State of Texas, and Daisy Thompson, a non resident of Tennessee and citizen and resident of the State of Texas; May Harris, a non resident of Tennessee, and a citizen and resident of the State of Oklahoma; Mrs. J. E. Chace, a non resident of Tennessee, and a citizen and resident of the State of Florida; Mrs. C. E. Powell, a non resident of Tennessee, and a citizen and resident of the State of Kentucky; Mrs. Millie Smith, a non resident of Tennessee, and a citizen and resident of the State of Kentucky; Mrs. Millie Smith, a non resident of the State of Tennessee, and a citizen and resident of the State of Mississippi, the unknown heirs at law of Tom Burns, deceased, Son of Bettie or Elizabeth Burns, whose residence and names are not known and cannot be ascertained after diligent inquiry; Sidney Alexander whose residence is unknown and cannot be ascertained after diligent inquiry and who formerly resided in McNairy county, Tennessee; so that the ordinary process of law cannot be served on them.

     It is therefore ordered by the Court that the said Lillian Jordan, Charles Lunsford, Estes Lunsford, Frank Lunsford, Effie Pitman, Wm. A. Thompson, Sarah Norris, Wm. Saddler, Jim Saddler, John Saddler, Annie Pearson, Mary Patton, Anna Ozment, Viola Ozment, Bettie Ozment, John Ozment, John Turner, Cleveland Thompson, Ira Thompson, Fannie Burns, Daisy Thompson, May Harris, Mrs. J. E. Chase, Mrs. C. E. Powell, Mrs. Millie Smith, the unknown heirs of Tom Burns deceased, son of Bettie or Elizabeth Burns whose residence and names are unknown and cannot be ascertained after diligent inquiry, Sidney Alexander, appear before the Judge of the County Court of Lauderdale County, Tenn. on or before the first Monday in March, it being the 5th day of said month, and the first day of March term of this Court, and make defense to the bill filed, herein against them and others, or the same be taken for confessed as true and the cause set for hearing ex parte as to them.

     It is further ordered that this notice be published in the Lauderdale County Enterprise, a newspaper printed and published in Lauderdale county for four consecutive weeks, requiring them to so appear.
