VANNDALE

 John Raymond Yates, aged 73, of Vanndale (Cross County)

 died Saturday. He was a retired farmer and a member of the

Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene Kathrine Morelock Yates;

 three sons, Johnny Wayne Yates of Vanndale, Billy Dean Yates of

Wynne and William Thomas Yates of Tilton;

 four daughters, Beatrice Aulynn McCorkle, Roxie Faye McCorkle

and Nellie Mabelle Robertson, all of Tilton,

and Katherine Kerine Lamastus  of Cherry Valley;

a brother, James Ellis Yates of Florida; a sister, Nellie Marie Wisemore of Washington, 24 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Smith Center Assembly of God Church in Tilton. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Tilton by Jackson Funeral Home of Harrisburg.
