Daniel in Churubusco, IN in 1973 and 1989
OBITUARY;
Daniel Bert Ferguson, 67, a resident on North Line Street, Bhurubusco, died at 12:38 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 1992 at Whitley County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since last Thursday. Mr. Ferguson was born in Churubusco on July 12, 1925, the son of Daniel P. and Lenna V. (Wilkins) ferguson, and was a lifelong resident of the churubusco community. He served with the U. S. Navy during the World War II, and was united in marriage to Phyllis Krieger on April 13, 1950. As a young man he was formerly employed by General Electri in Fort Wayne and later by G. I. Case iin Churubusco. He retired in 1983 from International Harvestr in Fort Wayne, where he had worked in the heat treat department for over 20 years. He was a member ofthe Eel River baptist church and the Churubusco Veteran's of Foreign Wars Turtle Post 3846. Surviving is the widow Phyllis; sons, Daniel Ferguson, jr. and Thomas Ferguson both of Churubusco. Richard Ferguson of Huntertown, and Walter Carpenter of Wolf Lake; daughters, Mrs. Duane (Helen) Stienbarger of Churubusco and Peggy Elser of Albion; and a sister Mrs Ed (Marjorie) Tomlinson of Churubusco. There are 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Sheets Funeral Home in Churubusco on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service is at 2:00 p.m. at Sheets Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. Doyle Carpenter , pastor of Eel River Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Eel River Cemetry in Allen County with Churubusco VFW in charge of miliary rites. Daniel Peter Ferguson, 70, of Rte. 2 Churubusco, died at McCray Memorial Hospital in Kendallville April 1, 1973. He had been a patient there since March 20, 1973 when he was admitted with a heart condition. Born January 1, 1903 in Allen County, Indiana, he ws the son of Burt and Loudema Shock Ferguson. He was married August 28, 1924 to Lenna Wilkins and the coupld lived in the Churubusco area all their married lives. He was an employee of Whitley Products in Columbia City until 1955 and worked for American Tractor and J. I. Case in Churubusco until the firm moved. Survivors include his wife, Lenna; one son, daniel of Churubusco and one daughter, Mrs. Edward Tomlinson of Churubusco; his mother, Mrs. Loudema Ferguson of Rte. 7, columbia City; two brothers, Jessie of Rte 7 Columbia City and Clifford of Fremont, Ohio; six sisters, Mrs. Frances Lestow of Kunkle, Ohio; Mrs. Velma Lincoln of Rte. 1 LaOtto; Mrs. Lewis Beltz of Fort Wayne; Mrs. Roy Deck of Churubusco; Mrs. Kern Rowe of North Manchester and Mrs. Garland Bennett of Rte. 2, Albion; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The Rev. William Johnson conducted services at Sheets Funral Home, and burial was in Riverview Cemetery. Parents: Bert FERGUSON and Loudema SHOCK.

Dolly D. Beltz, 73, died at 6:13 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 1991 at St. Joseph Medical Center. The Allen County native lived in Fort Wayne for 22 years. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Louis, died December 31, 1990. Surviving are a son, Harley Pettit of Leo; several Stepchildren; two brothers, Jessie Ferguson of Columbia City and clifford Ferguson of Fremont, Ohio; sisters, Velma Lincoln of LaOtto, Chloe Rowe of Teppecanoe and Marjorie Bennett of Columbia City; and several grandchildren. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow at C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells Street. Calling is 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today. Burial will be in South Park Annex in Columbia City, Indiana.
