Edna said Mary did take in washings here in town (Germantown).Edna's grandma was 81 at the time, and died from old age and pneumonia. She got it up at Aunt Ethel's. Her foot was broken at the time, and she was with Edna for 3 weeks.
On all court papers and headstone of the father, the last name is spelled Robinson, although Mary Grace Robinson and Frances E. Robinson were the only 2 who left out the "N".

Mrs. Minnie G. Shock, 80, of 240 E. Gunkle Street, Germantown, Ohio, died at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 1955 at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Edna J. Mefford, of 139 E. Jefferson Street. She had beenin ill health the past year. Minnie grace was born in Dublin Township, Mercer County, Ohio, December 25, 1874, to Benjamin and Mary Ellen Pixler Robison (Robinson). Her husband and one son preceded her in death and also eight sisters and one brother. She had been a resident of this area 56 years and of Germantown, Ohio, 39 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Bender of Germantown, Mrs. Hazel Poffenberger of Greenville, and Mrs. Ethel Willoughby of dayton, one son Pleasant Shock of Germantwon, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and one siste, Mrs. Mae Rhoades of Celina, Ohio. Services will beheld at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow November 15, at the John Arp Funeral Home, Germantown. Burial will be in the Germantown cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. today.
