WILHELM-BOYD WEDDING
The marriage of Miss Maude Wilhelm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Wilhelm, to David C. Boyd, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Boyd of Liscomb, was celebrated at the home of the bride's parents Wednesday evening at seven o'clock. When in accord to the strains of a beautiful wedding march played by Miss Bessis White, these young people took their places & repeated the words of solemn obligations that united them for life; Rev. E. E. Hastings, Ft. Dodge officiated. The ring cere-
mony was used. About fifty guests were present. The home was beautifully decorated throughout.
After the ceremony and congratulation the party repaired to the dining room where a three course wedding supper was served by Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Wilhelm & Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wilhelm.
Mrs. Boyd was attired in a very pretty gown of cream evilenne, carrying brides roses. She is a young lady of wide acquaintance in these parts having been born & reared within a few milesof Grundy Center. She graduated from the Grundy Center High School in the class os 1900, & since that time has been one of Grundy County's most proficient school teachers. She is held in high esteem by her many friends. MR. Boyd was a former Marshall County boy but of late has interests in Colorado, where he owns a fine farm & has a home all in readiness for his bride. He is a man well spoken of by all.
They were the recipients of many beautiful and useful gifts as tokens of esteem and remembrance.
Mr. and Mrs. Boyd will leave the first of next week for their future home near Bovina, Colorado.

1 MRS. MAUDE BOYD RITES WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Maude Boyd, age 85, widow of David C. Boyd, died Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. at her farm home 5 miles southwest of Charles City. Mrs. Boyd had been in failing health for several years., but had been only seriously ill the past week after having hada heart attack; her husband, David C. Boyd, died February 23, 1952. She was a member of the St. Charles Methodist Church and had been a resident of this community for thirty six years.
Maude elizabeth Wilhelm was born September 21, 1880 in Grundy County, the daughter of Johnathon and Adelaine (Martennery) Wilhelm. She was married to David C. Boyd on March 25, 1908 at Grundy center, Iowa. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lester (Doris) Marth of Mason City; and four sons: Glenn, James, Kenneth and Duane (all of the Charles City Community). Also surviving are six grandchildren, and one brother, Harry Wilhelm of Grundy Center, Iowa. Besides her husband, her parent and one brother have preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Hauser Funeral Home. The Rev. F. G. Samek, pastor of St. Charles Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be made in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, near Charles city. Iowa. Parents: Jonathan P. WILHELM and Adeline MARTEENY.
