He was given as a Bricklayer on his Son Albert James Philbrook's marriage certificate, but was not recorded as a Witness on 11 September 1906.14 He emigrated to Canada around 1910.15,16 He appeared on the census of 1911 at 61 Argile, Wentworth, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, as Head, married, age 53, birthplace England, and he was a Painter. His wife, daughter Rose and a boarder completed the household.15 He appeared on the census of 1921 at 61 Argyle Avenue, Wentworth, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, as Head, age 62, birthplace England, year of immigration 1910. His Wife, Daughter Rose and Son-in-law completed the household.16 He and Emily Standen lived in 1935 at 130 Province Street, Wentworth, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; where they were on the Voters List as Tom Philbrook, retired, and Mrs Tom Philbrook.17 Thomas Philbrook died on 29 February 1944 at Wentworth, Ontario, Canada, at age 85; and his death was recorded by John C. Waggett, Son-in-law, who also lived at 149 Province Street, S.18 He was buried on 3 March 1944 at Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.18
