His parents were recorded as Henry W J Gilmour and Anastasia Kennedy.2,4,3 He was the son of Henry Jones and Anastatia Kennedy.1 Edward William Henry Jones married Rose Murray circa 1890.1 Edward William Henry Jones married Susan Walsh in October 1902 at St John the Baptist, Clifton Hill, Victoria, Australia.5 Edward William Henry Jones married Margaret McBrien in 1916 at St Patrick, Albury, New South Wales, Australia; and their names were recorded as Edward W H Jones and Margaret Mcbrien.1,5,6 Edward William Henry Jones died on 22 June 1942 at District Hospital, Albury, New South Wales, Australia; and his death was recorded as Edward William Jones.2,7 He was the subject of an obituary in the Border Morning Mail, June 23 1942: 'The death occurred early yesterday in the Abury District Hospital of Mr Edward William Jones of 614 Stanley St Abury after a short illness. The funeral cortege will leave St Patrizio Catholic Church this afternoon at 3 o'clock for the Albury cemetery.8'

Gertrude Caroline Mander was executrix for her husband and the National Probate Calendar for 1954 reads that Probate was granted in London to 'Gertrude Caroline Jones widow Ronald Lambton de Tito Mount optician and George Richard Spencer solicitors managing clerk.' on 22 January 1954.11 She died on 26 November 1957 at 19 Grimston Gardens, Folkestone, Kent, England, at age 79; and her death was recorded at Folkestone Registration district in the December quarter 1957.12,11 Her estate was probated on 11 November 1958; and the National Probate Calendar for 1958 reads that she was 'of Flat 2 Cheriton Gardens Folkestone' and 'Probate was granted in Folkestone to 'Ronald Lambton de Tito Mount optician and George Richard Spencer solicitors managing clerk.11'

     Ann Jones was born in 1822 at Old Kent Road, Surrey, England.4,5 She was the daughter of Alexander Jones and Jane Jones.3 As of 1841, her married name was Benjamin.3 Ann Jones married Isaac Benjamin, son of Michael Benjamin, in 1841 at London, England; and their marriage was registered in the June quarter 1841 at London Registration district.6,7 Ann Jones appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 at 13 Paragon, Kent Road, Southwark, London, England, as Daughter, married, age 28, birthplace Old Kent Road, Surrey.8 She appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 at 13 Paragon, Kent Road, Southwark, London, England, as Wife, age 38, birthplace St George's, Surrey.9 She appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at 4 Prince of Wales Terrace, Kensington, London, England, as Wife, age 47, birthplace Wardour Street, Soho, Middlesex.4

She was executrix of her father's estate and the 1881 National Probate Calandar records:

'Jones Alexander Esq. Personal estate under £120,000. 5 March. The Will of Alexander Jones late of 4 Prince-of-Wales-terrace Kensington in the County of Middlesex and of 1 Walbrook in the City of London Esquire who died 13 February 1881 at 8 Bedford-place Brighton in the County of Sussex was proved in the Principal Registry by Ann Benjamin of 4 Prince-of-Wales-terrace Widow the Daughter Joshua Moses Jones of 34 Elgin-road Harrow-road in the County of Middlesex Gentleman the Nephew Edward Abraham Jones of 53 Maida-vale in the County of Middlesex Surgeon-Dentist and Walter Barron Jones of 38 New-London-road Chelmsford in the County of Essex Surgeon-Dentist the Executors'

and the following information appeared after her death in the London Gazette published on the 15 August 1911:

     '.....     The testator, Alexander Jones, late of No. 4, Prince of Wales-terrace, Kensington, Middlesex, Esquire, died on the 13th February, 1881, partially intestate as to his real estate. The testator's heir-at-law has been found to be his grand-son John Alexander Jones (son of the testator's son also named John Alexander Jones). Lady Cusack-Smith claims that she is a grand-daughter of the testator's only sister and that if the said John Alexander Jones, the grandson, were to die in her lifetime, she (Lady Cusack-Smith) would be sole heiress-at-law of the testator, Alexander Jones.......10,11'

She appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 at 4 Prince of Wales Terrace, London, England, as Head, widow, age 57, birthplace Middlesex, and she had 'No occupation'. Alice Jane Della was her 'Ladies Companion' and nine Domestic Servants completed the household.12 As of 1884, her married name was Braham.3,2 She married Frank Edmund Braham in 1884 at Sussex, England; and their marriage was recorded in the March quarter 1884 at Brighton Registration district.3,13 Ann Jones appeared on the census of 5 April 1891 at 56 Holland Park, Kensington, London, England, as Ann B Braham, Head, married, age 65, birthplace St George's, S.E., London, and she had independent means. She was living with her Husband Francis. A Boarder who was a City Messenger and a staff of thirteen Servants, including a Dressmaker, completed the household.14

She died on 6 November 1891 at 4 Prince of Wales Terrace, Kensington, London, England; and the death of Ann Benjamin Braham, was recorded in the December quarter 1891 at Kensington Registration district, London, at age 69.5,15,16 She was buried on 12 November 1891 at Lauriston Road Cemetery, Hackney, London, England; and her gravestone records she was 'the daughter of the late Alexander Jones of 4 Prince of Wales Terrace Kensington departed this life November 6 and was interred November 12th 5652 – 1891 aged 69 years.' There is also a family link to Isaac Benjamin (1808-1875).16,17,18 Her estate was probated; and the 1892 National Probate Calendar records: 'Braham Ann Benjamin of 56 Holland Park London (wife of Edmund Francis Braham) died 6 November 1891 Administration (Limited) London 4 January to Joshua Moses Jones esquire'.

The following notice was published in the London Gazette 3 February 1892 'ANN BENJAMIN BRAHAM, Deceased. Pursuant to the Statute 22nd and 23rd Vic., cap. 35. NOTICE is hereby given, that all creditors and other persons having any claims or demands against the estate of Ann Benjamin Braham, late of 56, Hollandpark, Kensington, in the county of London, deceased (who died on the 6th day of November, 1891, and of whose personal estate Mr. Joshua Moses Jones, of 115, Sutherland-avenue, Maida Vale, in the county of London, was, by the Order of the Honourable Sir Francis Henry Jeune, Knt., one of the Justices of the High Court of Justice, made in an action in the Probate Division of the said High Court, entitled Jones and others v. Braham, 1891, J., No. 183, and dated the 15th day of December, 1891, appointed the administrator pending that action, and thereby, inter alia, directed to perform the duties of an executor, except as to the distribution of the residue of the said estate), are hereby required to send particulars, in writing, of their claims to us, the undersigned, on or before the 2nd day of March, 1892; after which date the said administrator, pendente lite, will proceed to distribute the assets of the testator pursuant to the said Order, and having regard only to the claims and demands of which he shall then have had notice.— Dated this 3rd day of February, 1892.      Isaac Benjamin was born circa 1808 at Wardour Street, Soho, London, England.3,2,4 He was the son of Michael Benjamin.2 Isaac Benjamin married Ann Jones, daughter of Alexander Jones and Jane Jones, in 1841 at London, England; and their marriage was registered in the June quarter 1841 at London Registration district.1,5 Isaac Benjamin appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 at 13 Paragon, Kent Road, Southwark, London, England, as Son-in-law, married, age 42, birthplace Middlesex, and he was a Merchant.6 He appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 at 13 Paragon, Kent Road, Southwark, London, England, as Head, married, age 50, birthplace Soho, Middlesex, and he was a Merchant. He was living with his Wife Ann. At the same address lived his Mother-in-law and Father-in-law.7 He appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 at 4 Prince of Wales Terrace, Kensington, London, England, as Son-in-law of Alexander Jones, married, age 61, birthplace Wardour Street, Soho, Middlesex, and he was 'Not in any trade or calling'.3
